Maymont was the place to be this weekend as they are having their annual event spotlighting new baby animals and all things "Spring" for families and children of all ages. The Clothos spinners were geared up and we had an area set aside for us to demonstrate spinning. The farm has their own herds of sheep, llamas, and goats, so they like to be able to show people what can be done with the fleece from these animals. We were ready and happy to oblige. 12 spinners and their spindles, looms and or wheels entertained themselves with fiber and the crowds of children and parents by demonstrating making "string". Yes, this is what I heard the most, "Look, they are making string".
