Nona, infamous blogger and finalist in the Knit Off inspired me to knit a doily. I know, a doily is kind of a think of the past, but I loved the idea of it. I had the perfect "left-over" yarn, a cotton from a previous project in a nice Easter color, lavender. Since I've never knit a doily I though it would be amusing fun. The contestants in the Knit Off finished theirs in less than 5 hours. I took about 3 days, off and on! Lots of fun though and it now occupies a place of honor in my Easter decor. I think I may just do another. Oh yes, the pattern is HERE.

That's so cool - and what a pretty colour! I may just have to be a copy cat copy cat... I could imagine knitting on and making this into a wee knitting bag.
